Keung Kee Congee, located at 7030 Warden Ave., Markham, has established itself as a beloved destination for comfort Chinese food, cherished by locals and visitors alike. With nearly two decades of acclaim, this establishment is a staple for those seeking warmth in every bowl of congee. Reviewers consistently praise the generous portion sizes and the inviting flavors of dishes like the five-star chicken and pork bone soup, making it perfect for family gatherings or a quick comforting meal.
Despite the bustling atmosphere, where a queue often greets you even during late hours, the efficiency of service stands out—if not a tad business-like, as noted by long-time patrons. However, this does not detract from the dining experience; the staff remains attentive, keeping the flow smooth. Culinary highlights include a rich duck vermicelli and a delightful seafood fried rice that diners find to be of gourmet quality without breaking the bank.
What resonates most is the authentic feel of Keung Kee Congee—whether it’s the warmth of the food or the hearty satisfaction it brings, the restaurant consistently delivers meals that feel like home. For anyone visiting Markham, this restaurant isn't just recommended; it's essential for those seeking hearty, comforting Cantonese dishes.

Our go-to place for comfort Chinese food in Markham! We’ve been going to Keung Kee Congee for nearly 20 years! Whenever we’re in Toronto, this is a must go restaurant for us Food is always awesome, taste and portion adequate, but service has always been efficient but business-like, no smiles and no small talks. Even at 8 pm, there is always a queue waiting at the door. Highly recommend for the comfort Chinese food.

This is another great location for congee and Cantonese food. It’s been our favorite place for years. And it’s usually busy during weekends. We Ordered: 1. Chicken 5/5 2. Pork bone soup 5/5 3. Fried Rice 5/5 4. Fried noodles 4/5 5. Vegetable with mushrooms 5/5 Will come back for afternoon tea. Staff here is friendly and fast

The dishes we ordered came with good portions and tasted good. We're surprised to find out a bonus deal, 7.99 for a regular size sweet and sour pork because the total cost of our order before tax was over 49.

Gourmet quality food for one-third the price, and the portions are huge. Incredible. Had the duck vermicelli, pepper chicken spaghetti, eggplant hotpot, Hot&Sour soup, seafood fried rice with garlic, all high quality. Highly recommend

Very friendly staff. I came here for a lunch and they were very welcoming. The food portions are really big for such a good price. I really recommend this if you just want a simple but filling lunch!

Still one of the best Cantonese restaurants in Markham/Scarborough. Quality has remained consistently good over the years. HIGHLY recommend the massive pot of soup. Will feed 4. Service is fast and reliable. Just as good when going for take out as well.

This place deserves a higher rating than their current 3.6. Yes they are often very busy and service can be better at times, but the food and prices are great. Serving size is quite big and they have combos with a free drink at certain times of the day.

The food is great! Big portions and good price. Service is good, although, their English is not the best. There is always people in there but you would always get a seat. Big restaurant with high ceilings.
